畢業禮

I was reading Bill Gate's speech at Harward. Few sentences really caught my attention:

"...I do have one big regret. I left Harvard with no real awareness of the awful inequities in the world — the appalling disparities of health, and wealth, and opportunity that condemn millions of people to lives of despair.

“For under a dollar, there were interventions that could save lives that just weren't being delivered.

“We asked: 'How could the world let these children die?' The answer is simple, and harsh. The market did not reward saving the lives of these children, and governments did not subsidize it. So the children died because their mothers and their fathers had no power in the market and no voice in the system. . But you and I have both. We can… This task is open-ended. It can never be finished. But a conscious effort to answer this challenge will change the world.

“The barrier to change is not too little caring; it is too much complexity. To turn caring into action, we need to see a problem, see a solution, and see the impact.

“…Millions of preventable deaths. We don't read much about these deaths. The media covers what's new – and millions of people dying is nothing new. So it stays in the background, where it's easier to ignore.

畢業係人生一個重要既里程碑. 畢業會有乜夢想? 搵份工? 買架靚車? 環遊世界? 盡快賺到 one million? 奉獻10%, 20%比church建一所大building?

聖經話: 「你若留意聽從耶和華你　神的話, 謹守遵行我今日所吩咐你這一切的命令, 就必在你們中間沒有窮人了…在耶和華你　神所賜你的地上, 無論那一座城裏, 你弟兄中若有一個窮人, 你不可忍著心, 揝著手, 不幫補你窮乏的弟兄. 總要向他鬆開手, 照他所缺乏的借給他, 補他的不足...原來那地上的窮人永不斷絕、所以我吩咐你說、總要向你地上困苦窮乏的弟兄鬆開手. 」 (申 15:3-11)

我地有冇留意到世界幾多人既缺乏同自己既幸福, 有冇諗過我地其實可以用自己既富足去扶助他人既不足呢? 我想這是Bill Gate想對一班畢業生講既.

話說回來, 我地真係比佢地(3^rd world ppl)好好多么? 佢地物質上貧窮, 我地的確物質上比佢地豐富得多, 但活在這個大城市, 當中承受既壓力, 果種稀虛, 果份疏離又係咪3rd world ppl可以體會呢? 今曰有得食就食, 聽日可能冇得食既佢地點解可以展現出比我地在超時加班/充滿競爭/交通擠塞/開夜車趕project or exam/廣告包羅萬有既都市人更燦爛更天真既笑容呢? 物質上既貧窮, 有錢就解決, 再唔係出錢出力令佢地自力更新就冇問題(真係?) 心靈既貧窮又有乜野/邊個可以填補? 有錢未必買到幸福快樂. 主耶穌可以解決?? 如果係, 點解咁多(if not 80%, then 70%)弟兄姊妹依然係見到你笑背住你喊, 問題多, 壓力多, 同其他人冇乜分別? 佢地唔夠愛主? 崇拜唱歌好落力, 叫佢佢又肯事奉呀! 關鍵係: 當你太care自己, 問題同壓力自然多, 當你care about主耶穌, care about others, 就會開心好多. 關心世界, 幫助他人唔單止為人, 仲釋放到自己. 「謹守遵行神的話」就係咁解, 自然有你著數.
